Tamsin Blanchard is a fashion journalist, author and editor with more than 30 years experience working for British newspapers, the Independent, the Observer, the Telegraph Magazine and the Guardian as well as magazines including Tank. She has written several books including ‘Fashion & Graphics’ (Laurence King, 2004) ‘Green is the New Black – How to Change the World with Style’ (Hodder & Stoughton, 2007) and ‘100 Women 100 Styles’ (Laurence King, 2019). She contributes to the Guardian, Vogue, 10 and The Gentlewoman, and is editor of the biannual Hole & Corner magazine. Her interest in how the industry is impacting people and the planet has developed throughout her career, and has become integral to her work as a journalist and as an advocate for a clean, fair and more transparent fashion industry as special projects curator for Fashion Revolution. Since 2017, she has been the curator of Fashion Open Studio, the global showcasing and mentoring platform designed to highlight the work of emerging designers working in innovative and regenerative ways. Tamsin is an associate lecturer at Central Saint Martins, teaching on Fashion Journalism BA. She is editorial director for the recently reformed Estethica, creating agency for change within the fashion industry. With Fashion Open Studio and NOT____ENOUGH Collective she was part of the co-curation team for State of Fashion 2022 Biennale | Ways of Caring.
