State Secretary praises importance of fashion Biennale

On 2nd of June the State of Fashion Biennale 2022 was officially opened by State Secretary for Media & Culture Gunay Uslu and Mayor of Arnhem Ahmed Marcouch. It was the kick-off of a smashing opening weekend!
Together with the co-curators of Fashion Open Studio and NOT____ENOUGH Collective press and public were welcomed at the exhibition and the many workshops and other activities in the Eusebius Church, Rozet, Showroom, the Audrey Hepburnplein and the Steile Tuin in Sonsbeek Park. At the opening, the Secretary of State spoke about the importance of the biennial and the theme of Ways of Caring: “The biennale offers a perfect example of how the creative industry is helping us address social challenges.”
The opening concluded at Luxor.Live with the spectacular party LOVE.JOY.NOW, curated by artist and designer Bas Kosters, with numerous special acts, DJs and performances.
With an open air meditation with the audience on the meaning of clothing and fashion, the co-curators of Fashion Open Studio and NOT ENOUGH____Collective gave the public starting shot of State of Fashion 2022.
