Workshop: ArtEZ Generation 31 - 2 July
Antidisciplinary Workbook of Care by Generation.31 - 2 July
The workshop is without lunch, there will be breaks so you can grab something nearby or eat the sandwich you brought with you. Because the workshop will be held in the middle of the exhibition we ask you to bring as little as possible. There are lockers available for your valuables. You can of course bring a bottle of water and your phone. We’re looking forward to meet you!
Generation.31 is an Arnhem based fashion collective founded within the Master’s program of Critical Fashion Practices at ArtEZ. Care can be found at the core of each participant’s individual practice, as they believe it is about sharing the knowledge of the (im)material body; its rituals, its recovery, its intimacy, its connection, its solidarity.
During the Antidisciplinary Workshop of Care's workshop, we will re-establish our bonds with care as a vital force to find a balance with our worldly surroundings. We will engage with different forms of care focusing on the relations of care with community and knowledge. The central space of the exhibition will be filled in with a 'testimonial of care' made of several tee shirts and fabric embroidered together in a joint endeavour. An installation-like setting will slowly emerge through your hands and the immersive experience of embroidering and listening.
Your work will become part of the exhibition – let’s fill in the missing content together!
